Drills for active hands and rebound control

By: Chris Dyson | Target Practice | February 28, 2016 at 12:00am
Presented By Daniel Hillebrand and Demonstrated By Daniel Hillebrand

There drills should be done regularly at every level. You'll notice the goalie in the video is not perfect, this is absolutely ok, because he even points out his own shortcomings, no minor hockey goalie (or NHL goalie will be perfect). coaches will look for lack of puck tracking (you see in the video he pulls back a little when tracking because of excessive body movement) - these are when the puck is usually not controlled. Watch for toot causes of poor control or excessive movement.
